Job Description

1. Manage and monitor activities of all employees during the night shift making sure they adhere to the standards of excellence and to the guidelines set in the employee handbook, hotel policies and procedures, coaching, training, and correcting where needed.
2. Assists the General Manager, Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager in all aspects of the department including but not limited to operations, planning, budgeting, staffing and payroll in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
3. Assist the General Manager, Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager in implementing and enforcing financial controls throughout the department, helping with control of operating expenses, scheduling, and purchasing.
4. Direct and oversee all hotel operations for smooth running during the night shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
5. Manage the night shift in the department ensuring all employees perform the tasks assigned to them and coordinate Front Office activities with other departments
6. Conduct Briefing for all staff during the Night Shift.
7. Check accommodations, make sure any special requests are carried out accordingly, greet guests upon arrival, and ensure escort to accommodations if appropriate.
8. Work closely with the Housekeeping Department to improve guest services and foster cross-departmental communication.
9. Maintain a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment at all times.
10. Act as officer in-charge on duty for the hotel in the absence of the General Manager, Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager dealing with complaints, problem-solving, disturbances, special requests, repeat guests, and any other issues that may arise.
11. Will be able to multitask efficiently ensuring all employees perform the tasks assigned to them and coordinate Front Office activities with other departments.
12. Required to welcome our guests to the hotel in a friendly and helpful manner, and ensure that the public areas are kept clean and tidy.
13. Must actively participate in the decision-making process on guest relocation for nights when overcapacity, execute accordingly, and ensure a smooth relocation process. This effort must be coordinated with the General Manager, Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager.
14. Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, assigning nightly work, conducting training, conducting counseling’s and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
15. Must be able to perform the full night audit if needed which includes balancing financial transactions and generating reports ensuring the accurate completion of the daily night audit in a timely fashion.
16. Oversee preparation of daily summary reports.
17. Be aware and able to enforce all fire-life safety procedures.
18. Remain current in all updates about new procedures and training.
19. Report any suspicious persons, activities, and/or hazardous conditions to the Security Department, General Manager, Operations Manager and Assistant Operations Manager
20. Conduct roving and monitoring on all hotel premises during the entire shift to make sure everything is in order.
21. Deciding personnel addressing all concerns during the entire night shift.
22. Perform other related duties as maybe assigned by management.
 
 
 

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a relevant field.
• Has at least 3 years hospitality experience
• Outstanding & proficient in written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate & has operational knowledge and proficiency in Front Office Systems
• Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail.
• Able to function during the overnight shifts
• Able to balance a variety of conflicting priorities
• Willing to be assigned in Bohol
